The history and present of Swiss Made Direct

Swiss Made Direct was founded in 2004 before being revamped in 2015 to promote the work of Swiss manufacturers and make their creations available worldwide. And for a good reason, SMD is an online store that shares the Swiss terroir, with over 1,500 products listed – and growing.

Swiss Made Direct offers products from the Kisag brand, an 80-year-old Swiss company. Innovative for its time in the design of kitchen utensils, the company has grown with the times to become one of the country’s iconic companies.

Swiss Massiv

SMD also offers creations from SwissMassiv skis. Thanks to local woods for cover sheets, SwissMassiv aims to pioneer plant-based composites, integrating robust bamboo fibers into sidewalls, as they ambitiously pursue full ski recyclability. The award-winning brand also resonates socially, positioning itself as a beacon of innovative, sustainable ski production.
