A bit about the company
The Weizenkorn is a social enterprise in which mainly young women and men with support needs work. In a meaningful activity, they experience acceptance and appreciation. More than 300 people are employed at an accompanied workplace or complete an apprenticeship.
In the work areas of wood workshop, candle studio, sales, accounting, gastronomy, and hotel business, the employees work together with the internal social service and 80 team members. The support work aims to strengthen existing skills and improve employability in the free economy. The Weizenkorn has existed since 1979, and the federal and cantonal authorities recognize it as a sheltered workshop and a provider of vocational assessments.
